Nebraska-raised CT Nelson is a gifted artist who moved to Denver in 2002 to be a part of its innovative scene. Since arriving in Denver, he has created a unique style of painting - a technique he calls "Repetitive Fragmatism." Hovering somewhere between the two worlds of abstract and representational art, his emotionally-stimulating, contemporary oil paintings offer a fresh emotional perspective and capture the essence of his subjects.

CT Nelson is rapidly making his influence felt. Eight months after moving to Denver, he won the Art Students League of Denver "Top of the Town" award and most recently was awarded second place in the International Gamblin Oil Paints 2005 Torrid Grey Competition. CT Nelson will also be showing at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in July.

Inspired by his great grandfather, an early 20th century aspiring artist who gave up his dream to farm and raise a family, CT Nelson has vowed not to let it happen twice.
