WEDDING AND RECEPTION MUSIC GUIDE

Typical Wedding Music Format

Prelude Music
20-30 minutes before the service begins.  Sets a mood, whether informal or elegant.

Mother's Music
Usually the last music selection played before the attendants enter.

Attendant's Music
If more than the maid of honor is in the bridal party, a separate selection from the bride's music is suggested.

Processional
The bride enters.  Some favorite selections are the "Bridal Chorus", the "Pachelbel Canon", and "Trumpet Voluntary".

Music within the Service
Usually 15 to 60 seconds of music for the Unity Candle and/or meditative spot.

Recessional
This is played immediately after kiss or introduction and continues until the bridal party has exited.  Music should be brisk and happy.

RECEPTION MUSIC

     Talent West offers Colorado's finest Musicians and Entertainers.  What Mood would you like to set?  We have groups that perform background music perfect for a dinner, buffet, or receiving line, to create a warm ambience.  Do you want Dance Music?  We offer the finest bands that can play all styles of music to fit your Theme, whether it is Black-tie, Western, Informal, Contemporary or Ethnic.

If you will be having guests of all ages at your reception, perhaps a group that performs a Variety of music would be appropriate.  Our "Flagship Band", Starburst 2000, is such a group and their Performance summary includes popular music that spans six decades: Bug Bands, Waltzs, Country, Sambas, Cha Chas, 50's Rock and Roll, 60's and Motown, 70's and Disco, 80's & 90's Contemporary.  Special attention is given for Bride and Groom's Dance, Parents and Grandparents Dance, throwing the Bouquet, Garter, and the cake cutting.  Fun and Very Danceable!

Other Wedding Services include:  Officiant or Minister, Elegant European Horse Drawn Carriages, Western style horse carriages, Hay Wagon, Limosines, Vintage Cars, DJ's, Emcees, catering referrals, reception sites.
